Ingredients:

- 3 cups milks
- 2 Packets of Dark or Milk Chocolate Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate Mix
- 2 heaping Tbsb of Criollo Cocoa or other unsweetened cocoa powder
- zest from 1/2 to full orange
- 1 1/2 to 2 tsp. honey
- 1/2 to 3/4 tsp. of vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon powder (or several cinnamon sticks)
- 1/4 to 1/3 tsp. of cayenne pepper or pasilla pepper powder
Directions:
- Heat 3 cups of milk in a big, glass measuring cup
- Add the packets of Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate mix and Criollo Cocoa to the hot milk and stir till well blended
- Add honey, vanilla, and cinnamon
- To taste, add zest of orange and pepper powder
- Let everything soak for a few minutes and then strain the hot chocolate mixture through a strainer, lined with a paper towel into a jar
- Store refrigerated (you can put the cinnamon sticks back in).
- Serve heated at full strength or diluted 1-to-1 with milk

This recipe makes one large spaghetti jar’s worth of hot chocolate.
